Julia Shulman was born in 1960 in Moscow, USSR. Graduated from Moscow Art Institute (stage design and graphics) in 1981. Repatriated to Israel in 1985. Member of Jerusalem Artists Association (1992).

Julia Shulman:

"I am a player by nature. Art for me is one of the most attractive games, played by both children and adults. An artist him/herself lays down the rules, place and time of the game; (s)he is simultaneously a player and a referee."
