Michael Morgenstern was born in 1955 in Moscow, USSR. Graduated from 1905 Revolution Moscow Art College in 1981. In the USSR his major works were murals, mosaic, bas-reliefs; he participated in several Soviet and international exhibitions. Repatriated to Israel in 1991.
Michael Morgenstern:
"I like to paint from life, it is so easy and rejoicing. All you need is to be observant. No one can add anything to the Creation. In abstract art everything is different. A picture emerges from nowhere, and its birth is agonizing. I am doomed to such torments. Using the plastic means, I can express things that I do not even dare to verbalize."
Аwards: Israeli Painters Competition, 1992 - the first prize.
Exhibitions: Since 1991 participated in several international (USA, Canada, Germany), and also in Israeli exhibitions (among them exhibitions in Knesset, Artists House, Tel Aviv, Artists House, Jerusalem, Haifa Museum).
His works can be found in art galleries and private collections of Israel, Russia, USA, Belgium, Canada, Germany, Luxembourg.
His works of Israeli period include murals, mosaic, bas-reliefs, stained-glass windows (among them bas-reliefs in Business Center and Migdal ha-Ir Restaurant, Jerusalem, murals in Psagot synagogue and in Maale-Adumim, stained-glass windows in Psagot synagogue, etc.).
Now he works in Calman Shemi studio.
